Portrush Puffin over a week early!
Causeway Lass crew spotted our 1st Puffin of the year, It was at sea offshore of Portrush on Saturday amongst a raft of razorbills.
That’s 9 days earlier than 2024 and 2023.

The Puffin season typically is from late March to late July when puffins return to their nesting sites. Puffins are a genuine seabird as they spend most of their lives at sea, they only come ashore to have a dry place to lay their egg.
hopefully a sign of better weather ahead.
