The bridge carries trains on a single track 7m above the River Bann It’s 5m wide and 240m long!
There are 10 spans which are 23m apart, 4 on the West side of the lifting span, the lifting span itself, and 5 on the East side. The lifting section is 25m long and weighs 250 tons, counterbalanced by a huge concrete block.
